I’m seventeen. I was born in South Bank and I’ve never lived anywhere else. I was brought up by my mam and I still live at home with her. My mam and dad hung out together but they never lived with each other.  My dad lives here in South Bank - I know who he is but I don’t see him.

When I was fourteen I got drunk and I had sex for the first time. It wasn’t a relationship, just a one off thing, but I got pregnant. Sienna’s father went to prison almost straight after, and, because of that, he only found out I was pregnant from someone inside. I’ve never really talked to him about any of it, but he sees Sienna from time to time, though he doesn’t do anything to help.

I knew I was pregnant after a month, but I didn’t tell anyone for five and a half months. I was worried people would think I should have an abortion, and I’d been shown a film at school in RE - I went to St Peter’s Catholic School in South Bank - about what happens to the foetus when it’s aborted: it was horrible and I was shocked, so I pretended I was still having my periods until I knew it was too late to do anything about it.

My house will be demolished before long but I’ll stay around here - just move over the road or whatever - so that I can stay close to my family and my friends. I couldn’t imagine ever moving further away.
